Committed to Delivering Meaningful Social Value.
At Banners Gate, we believe great design goes beyond buildings—it shapes communities, enriches lives, and leaves a lasting legacy. Through our architectural, civil, and structural work, we are committed to delivering meaningful Social Value by improving the lives of our end users, supporting local communities, and nurturing the next generation of professionals.
Fundraising & Charitable Support
Over the past year, we have actively supported a wide range of charitable causes and community initiatives. Our team has proudly contributed to fundraising activities for:
Young Lives vs Cancer; Midlands Air Ambulance; Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust Groundwork UK; Cancer Research UK; Rett Syndrome Research; The Brain Tumour Charity; Royal British Legion; Prostate Cancer UK; GOSH Charity; Dementia Hospices; Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice; Electric Umbrella; Variety Children’s Charity and LoveBrum.
These partnerships allow us to give back and stand alongside organisations making real change in people’s lives, especially those facing extraordinary challenges.

Community Support and Engagement
Banners Gate is passionate about making a positive difference - both within our team and across the communities we serve. This year, we’ve proudly sponsored the Earlswood Town Under 9’s Whites football team and supported our very own Libby Bryant in her journey with the Old Haleonians Women’s Rugby, helping to champion local sport and youth development.
Community engagement goes beyond sponsorships, it’s about genuine connection and shared growth. We actively support local initiatives, events and charities that strengthen community bonds and create lasting impact. Whether through volunteering, local partnerships, or supporting small community projects, we strive to give back in meaningful ways.
At Banners Gate, we believe strong communities build strong futures.
A Responsible Employer
Our commitment to fair, ethical, and inclusive employment includes:
Adhering to the Modern Slavery Act
Providing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
Ensuring all employees have access to relevant training and certification
Celebrating and rewarding individual and team achievements
We believe our success reflects our people, and we invest in them accordingly.
Supporting Future Generations
We are passionate about guiding the next generation of architects, civil, and structural engineers. Banners Gate actively supports young people at various stages of their academic and professional journeys by:
Sponsoring employees through college and university education
Offering real-world experience alongside formal study
Fostering long-term career development pathways
Many of our current team members started with us after their school years. This long-term investment in local talent has helped us build a sustainable, inclusive, and skilled practice.
Mental Health & Wellbeing
A healthy team is a resilient team. Banners Gate prioritises wellbeing across our workforce by:
Training Mental Health First Aiders within our leadership
Providing education on managing stress at work and supporting employees
Promoting a supportive, open workplace culture
Beyond our internal practices, we collaborate with clients who share our values, delivering green spaces and sustainable environments that support mental health and wellbeing for the wider community. Through thoughtful, user-focused design, we create places that are safe, accessible, and enjoyable for all.
At Banners Gate, Social Value is part of who we are and how we work. From improving lives through better design to supporting our people and communities, we are building more than infrastructure and buildings — we’re building a better future.
