Banners Gate Limited was established in June 1998 as a natural progression from S.A. Foxall Civil Engineering Consultancy, which had been operating since September 1995. The company was founded by Stephen Foxall and John Byrne, who were later joined by Tony Ayliffe in 1998 and Steve Clark in 2002 — forming a strong, experienced leadership team.
From the outset, the directors shared a clear vision: to provide a fully integrated service that combines professional Consulting Engineering and Architectural Design. By offering a comprehensive, one-stop solution, Banners Gate has continued to deliver high-quality outcomes for a wide range of commercial and residential clients across both the public and private sectors
In 2025, Banners Gate underwent a Management Buyout by David Allbright and Scott Marshall.
